If you’re not familiar with this LEGENDARY event – it’s just a grand old time at Park Tavern full of live music, cold beer and other beverages, and TONS of fresh fried and steamed oysters! (There will be fancy oysters on the raw oyster bar, too! Blue Pointe Oysters from Connecticut and Malpeque Oysters from Prince Edward Island!)

Doors open at 12 noon and the live music schedule is as follows:

2pm: Life and Limb

4pm: Abbey Road Live (Beatles Tribute)

6pm: Block Party (80′s Cover)

Plus - Two DJs playing upstairs and down after the bands!

The event is RAIN or Shine!  If it rains, as it did a couple of years ago, it’s an excellent excuse for WELLIES!

Spiralween: It’s Almost That Time!

It’s no secret that the Q+DD girls LOVE Halloween. (Well, we love any excuse to costume and though we have found many, many other avenues…like, say, Passover and Arbor Day...Halloween will always be our first love.)

I actually feel a little giddy that it’s already time to tell you about the wonders that the boys at Spiral have in store for us at SPIRALWEEN 2010!

This year is going to ROCK.  Superawesome cover band The Geeks will be playing…

…Plus DJs, go-go dancers, lots of “booos” and, as always, there will be TWO $500 cash prizes for best costume. One chosen by popular vote and one chosen by the Spiral Hosts.  (I have no moral issue taking bribes, FYI!)  Check out some finalists from last year HERE.

College football season is upon us!

Of course, that means it is also time for Spiral Entertainment’s COLLEGE FOOTBALL KICKOFF PARTY!

THIS SATURDAY 08/28:

Here’s the Q+DD: THIS Saturday, August 28th – Hudson Grille in Brookhaven – 8:00p – 2:30a.  It WILL be wild and amazing.  Highlights include drink specials, various awesome DJs, cornhole (regular-sized), and the 4th Annual Beer Pong Tourney!

(Dude, they are not joking around with this thing. Check out the rules here and here.  You must register by 8pm and this very serious tournament will commence promptly at 9pm.)
