Big news. HUGE.

So, as you know, this weekend Lindsay went to DC.

As expected she saw lots of DC friends including

and Sir Soren

PRESH!

What she didn’t know she’d be seeing was:

A ’62 Bentley

Kevin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND he put a ring on it! The proposal happened at the Senate Reflecting Pool

To drinks at Poste Brasserie

To dinner and dessert at Central Michel Richard

It was a picture-perfect night!

Best wishes for an amazing, wonderful, magical, laughter-filled life, Lindsay and Kevin!

I could NOT BE HAPPIER! You’re perfect and I just love you both.

Don’t Play w/ the Dinos…

Slick + I attended a beautiful wedding last night at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Toward the end of the evening, Slick submitted to peer pressure + decided to disregard the “Do Not Touch the Exhibit” signs. The following are a few of the pictures I was able to snap prior to several large security guards + a v. stressed-out wedding planner s.c.r.e.a.m.i.n.g.* at my boyfriend + his buddies…

‘Becoming the Caseys’ Get Hitched!

My super adorable friends Jessica Cox + Sam Casey got married this weekend on the most gorgeous day of the year (FACT) at Park Tavern! (You may remember them from their wedding blog that I love + have often referred to: Becoming the Caseys.) It was the perfect day…and you just have to see it, too!

I could go to this wedding a million times over! Highlights included (but were certainly not limited to): the absolutely perfect weather, the bride’s spectacular dress, the Smile Booth, the bride + groom DJing (see Sam above) + the overall kitschy-ness of the event. It was all simply amazing.

Sam + Jess’s special day was my first Park Tavern wedding and I have to admit that there’s really nothing else like it. Such a great space! Click here for info about planning a wedding at Park Tavern: Tie the Knot on 10th.

Atlanta, I DO!

This weekend, I fell further in love with Atlanta as our friends Jen and Pat tied the knot. They’re a spectacular couple with spectacular taste, so of course, their choices were perfection… and SO Atlanta.

The rehearsal dinner was at the Peachtree Club, on top of the 999 Building, and we met the bridal party and friends for drinks and dessert following. If someone can think of something better than enjoying a cocktail, a Swedish Fish, and this view…

…I wish they would tell me what because I can’t think of much.

The wedding was outdoors at Greystone in Piedmont Park and though I felt I had been there before from Lindsay’s awesome post (see it HERE) this was my first time to experience this remarkable venue for myself!

You know how I love a good wedding! I recycled a dress, but got to take these bad boys for their inaugural spin:

Badgley Mischka. Style: Lissa. Color: Platinum.

Jen looked absolutely stunning in a J.Crew bridal gown, the bridesmaids wore g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s. dresses by Carol Hannah (Charleston native and my Project Runway all-time fave)

and Sun in My Belly knocked it of the park with the catering!

We after-partied with the happy couple at Einstein’s on Juniper…

(where I may or may not have had a slider or two…) and I woke up just dying to share this fantastic weekend with our readers!

A few months ago, I was lucky enough to be a part of what I considered to be one of the most beautiful weddings that ever was. But I mean, it was destined for greatness right from “go.” I expected nothing but sheer awesomeness of the union of these two:

Truly, I felt like it was a special wedding. But then again, Leslie is one of my oldest and best friends and I think just about everything she does is amazing

This amazing little detail was set up in the fabulous hospitality suite of this adorable Longhorn/Bulldog couple tying the knot TONIGHT!

Only a few more hours till there’s a new LK in town!

Trend Alert! Boxed Water

After a long wedding weekend in New Jersey (FYI: did not get to meet Snooki as she went and got herself arrested the evening I arrived…), I’m pretty sure that the 90% of my body that is supposed to be made up of H20 is now almost entirely Belvedere vodka.

Needless to say, I’m dehydrated.

As I was surfing through the ol’ Book’o'Face yesterday to catch up on what I missed over the weekend, I happened to notice that the lovely ladies @ Caren West PR (just adore!) were drinking + chatting about something of great interest to me considering my current situation…

BOXED WATER

Ummmmm. THIS is amazing!

Here’s the Q+DD on Boxed Water + why YOU should drink it:

Part sustainable water company, part art project, part philanthropic project, and completely curious. Boxed Water Is Better, is a boxed water company. Started with the simple idea of creating a new bottled water brand that is kinder to the environment and gives back a bit - the developers at BWIB found that it shouldn’t be bottled at all, but instead, boxed. To Bumpit or Not to Bumpit…

Slick + I are headed to yet another wedding this weekend (3rd this month) w/ some of his legal eagle amigos.

I have to tell you, I really couldn’t be more excited! Aside from the predictable awesomeness that I can expect from hanging out with these folks, the wedding is in the JERZZZ!

SO unbelievably stoked! And, I’ve been practicing…

Okay, so, when I asked Slick this morning about the attire for the wedding, he alleges that he talked with the bride and she said “any dress will do…” which means he actually didn’t talk to the bride because no girl in her right mind would ever leave wedding-related attire so vague. After I gave him a hard time about it, he consulted reinforcements and we now know that the attire is black tie (Bumpit) optional.

My dress is set, but one very important question remains: To Bumpit or not to Bumpit?

Although the Texas girl in me always defaults to my vintage cowboy boots as my signature way to jazz up an otherwise blah outfit, I am REALLY considering trading in my country kicks in for my very own Bumpit for the occasion!
