I Invented Post-Its.

Soooo…my 10-year high school reunion is Saturday and I can’t get Romy and Michele out of my head.

"Yeah, well, it was my idea to make them yellow."

If you haven’t seen this movie I demand that you do so at once. It’s HILARIOUS.

Here’s the Q+DD: Romy and Michele (Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino) are two bimbo besties from high school that find themselves still living together and nowhere near where they thought they’d be 10 years later.  As their  reunion approaches, they decide they need to do something to make an impression on former schoolmates, so they try to get boyfriends…

"Is that suit an Armani?" "Why, yes it is." "What do you do?" "I'm a suit salesman." "Will you excuse me? I cut my foot earlier and my shoe is filling up with blood."

“Is that suit an Armani?” “Why, yes it is.” “What do you do?” “I’m a suit salesman.” “Will you excuse me? I cut my foot earlier and my shoe is filling up with blood.”

And jobs…

"Do you have a business woman's special? We are business women. From LA. Due in Phoenix for some very important business."

And finally come up with the plan of all plans, just lie and tell everyone they were the igneous inventors of Post-Its!

"Ordinarily when you make glue, first you need to thermoset your resin and then after it cools you mix in expoxide. Which is just a fancy-shmancy name for any simple oxygenated adhesive, right. Then I thought maybe, just maybe you can raise the viscosity by adding a complex glucose derivative during the emulsification process. And it turns out, I was right."

It’s a total riot. One of those movies I can see a zillion, trillion times and never get sick of.

My paradigm is shifting because for all these years that I have been watching it,  a 10-year high school reunion seemed SO far away and yet…here comes mine!

I can’t WAIT to see my old crew.  Here we are circa 1998ish:002001

And circa 2007.  Gosh, we have matured SO MUCH:

girls

(Maybe not.)

girls2

Better.

In any event, can’t wait to see you MBHS class of ’99!graduation
