“this burrito is good…but it is filling…”

…so said Ron Burgundy before his tragic, but short-lived, career downfall.

- “milk was a bad choice…”
I happen to love food-in-food: soup in a bread bowl, stuffed crust pizza, cannolis, Oreos (Halloween ones are my pref), crepes, gyros, anything bacon-wrapped – but my favorites are various types of Mexican food. A burrito, quesadilla or enchilada will do me just fine. When I was living in the blessed Lone Star State, I used to get my fix at FreeBirds (http://www.freebirds.com/). With limited options in Atlanta, I’ve been opting for Willy’s or Chipotle.

HOWEVER, while googling randomness the other night, I came across THIS truly horrifying article:
http://www.cspinet.org/nah/10foods_bad.html
Check out #9! (Who knew?!) Although I knew it was owned by McDonald’s Corp., I’d always thought that Chipotle wasn’t horrible for me. Geez Louise!!
Alas (thanks to Kroger’s 10-for-10 deal), I have found an alternative!

Lean Cuisine Baja-Style Chicken Quesadilla
Grilled chicken strips, black beans and corn salsa with reduced fat mozzarella, monterey jack and cheddar cheese in a flour tortilla.
(Fat: 8 g, Calories: 280 g, Carbs: 34 g, 32% DV of Dietary Fiber & 5 WW Points)
And, best of all, it’s delish! I had it for lunch today and thought it was really tasty and filling.
Also (I lose my Texas card with this one), I like the Taco Bell Fresco Menu. The fresco soft taco is sooooo yummy! http://www.tacobell.com/fresco/

The point of this story is that it is important to know what you’re eating! I’d prefer to over-consume calories on something I at least KNOW is bad for me! Right? Right! Be an informed consumer!
