I hope everyone had a spectacular 4th of July! I celebrated 233 years of our nation’s independence by spending the weekend in Dewey Beach, Delaware with one of our faaaabulous friends from UT, Dana.

Every time I spend a weekend in Dewey, we indulge in the delicious beachside fare (freshly cut french fries in a cup? Hello!), the amazing restaurants, and of course, the super fun nightlife including her favorite spot, the Lighthouse Bar, where a sea of gorgeous preppy people can be found all sipping the same cocktail: The Orange Crush. It’s basically just orange vodka, triple sec, Sprite, and orange juice, but it is amazingly refreshing and just a fantastic summer cocktail, in my opinion.
I’m suggesting we bring this deliciousness to Atlanta. At the Lighthouse, each bar is equipped with it’s own orange juicer, and I think that fresh squeezed is best.
Here’s a recipe so y’all can try it at home!
1oz orange vodka
1oz Triple Sec
1oz freshly squeezed orange juice
1oz Sprite
Mix all ingredients in an old fashioned glass with ice and enjoy! Looks cooler with a thick white straw a la the Tropicana commericals.
Enjoy!
xx, L
